Wooden Fascia for 3d printed case

edited January 2015 in Project Showcase
I`m still playing around with my Emblaser, and thought I would do a wooden fascia for a home project.

I`m very pleased with the result, I generated the dxf file from Autodesk 360 fusion, which I used for the case design.

Best of all, all the holes lined up between the 3d case and the laser cut panel !

I thought I would have to do a bit of calibration there. I can see me using the Emblaser a lot.

The wood used was Bass wood from Hobbycraft, thickness of 2.5 mm.

The wood was cut at a speed of 2.5 mm/s at a power setting of 100 %, 1 pass

The text was engraved at 30 mm/s and 75% power, 1 pass.

Cheers

Martin
